Is there a way to turn on high-level special abilities without Throne of Bhaal installed (assuming, of course, you first disable the experience cap)?

With mods yes, it should be. However I think this should have been posted in the ToB forum, since it essentially is about stuff included in Throne of Bhaal.

Not unless you mod the game.

Also, I am not sure sure, but you could install SoA, then ToB and start a new character. I think you would have the ToB XP cap as you play thru SoA.

Yes, when ToB is installed, you'll work with the xcap has in ToB, even though you're playing SoA. You will also get the highlevel abilities in SoA (providing your level is high enough)

[IMG] But what if you're playing without ToB. Then you would probabbly have to get a mod right? yeah thought so.

I don't have TOB, but I've played it before. That's why I know about the abilities, and also why I posted originally in the SOA board. The question pertains to SOA without TOB installed. If there is a mod for this, anybody know where I can download it?

    Thanks

    No there is not.
Some of those abilities (if not all) can't be processed by BGmain.exe file in SoA.
So if you load your hero who has those in SoA without ToB installed, the game will crash.

Disappointing answer, but very helpful -- tells me what I need to know! Thanks Extremist.

Of course, if you so wish...use IEEP to give yourself the Abilities' bonuses you would get, they would function just like normal HLAs, but without the BAM images.
