Highest stats on character creation

When creating a characer (any race/class), whats the highest amount of expandable points you've managed to get after rerolling?
Im writing this bacause after creating a new fighter today, i had a massive 68 points to add to my minimum stats. Has anybody ever been able to get many more than that?

 

69 with a human Kensai.

my higest ever was with a cavalier.

 

My max overall was 5x18+3, calculate it yourself, I'm too lazy on a Sunday afternoon.

 

That would be 93

 

I got somethin like 17,19,17,15,18,18...
Elven Ranger... Total of 103/4
I got these stats in BGI so add bonuses from tomes in BG I OUCH


Elven Rangers and paladins are easiest for gettin high stats..

 

Unfortunately this is by no means guarantee of powergaming potential. (Cleric/Ranger is probably better off, since at a loss of 10pts from minima you become a serious spellcaster in addition to a woodsman.)

 

74 points to spend on a Human Fighter. That's a whooping 98 total.

 

Highest I ever had, I think, was in the mid-to-high 60s left to spend on a Half-Orc Keansai (Might have been human, but i think he was Half-Orc)

 

104 with a half-orc fighter/thief.

Actually that's not quite correct. Paladins and rangers do have higher stats but the chances of aquiring 3x6x6 is just the same for a ranger as it is for a fighter.

 

But the minima push up the scores, so when you roll a 3 and the minimum is 15, it becomes 15. Therefore, you ability score is not 3d6, it's max(3d6, class-race-minumum)

@Xei: wow, that's amazing! How long does it take? the best I get is 67.

 

I have a policy on this. Either I go with stats provided by the first dice-rolling, spending more on stats I need or, if needed I edit my stats conveniently with Shadowkeeper. I think dice-rolling over and over again is veery cheesy.
