My husband is having a problem with a program that he downloaded and cannot delete. He was given the instructions to "Close your web browser and empty your browser cache." We are not sure how to do this. Can someone please give me some instruction? Sorry for my ignorance in this matter. Thankyou

    EDIT: it is a PC

Mac or PC? In Mac it is accesible via Safari -> Safari -> Empty Cache.

On PC I THINK it's in C:bad: Documents And Settings\(active username)\Temp\Temporary Internet Files

Im not sure, as my PC is elsewhere and I am currently on a Mac.
    You could google it though.

Not exactly sure what you mean, but if you need to get rid of temp internet files, do this:

Go to start>Settings>Control Panel>Network and Internet Connections>Internet Options

Once there, delete your temp internet files.

EDIT: I think that might only be for Internet Explorer, so if you are using another browswer I have no idea.

If using Mozilla firefox, go to tools, and click on options. The first screen you see is a list of items and buttins. One of which says cache. Click on the clear button next to it.

BTW, this should be in Techno-magic.

Another way of doing it is to run the Disk Cleanup Wizzard...wich, among other things, removes Temporary Internet Files. :rolling:

It depends on your Operating System and browser.

Yeah, what version of Windows? 95, 98, or XP?

What I said was for XP.

You mean the bar with all the wwwdots in it? go to tools > internet options > content > autocomplete > clear web forms and address etc. You may have to do it a few times. Then go back tools and clear history, cookies and temporary internet files.
