Can you get by with her as your only Thief in a party?

I'm just wondering, in case I lose Imoen in my no reloads game. I notice she has a good F/R Traps score, and I guess there I'd have to memorize quite a few Knock spells (at least until Crom Faeyr is assembled).

Anybody ever use Nalia as their only Thief? How did it work out?

I did once. Give her the 2 thieving rings (Ring of Lockpicks and Ring of Danger Sense) and keep a good stock of potions (Mind Focusing, Master Thievery and Perception). It can be a hassle to have her drink or switch a ring out.

Ring of Danger Sense - 25% boost to trap detection
Ring of Lockpicking - 25% boost to lock picking
Master Thievery potion - 40% boost to lock picking and pick pocketing for 3 hours
Potion of Perception - 20% boost to lock picking, find/remove traps, hide in shadows and pick pockets for 6 hours
Mind Focusing potion - +3 to Intelligence and Dexterity for 12 hours

If she survives to ToB, there's the Amulet of the Master Harper which gives 20% boost to find traps and lock picking, immunity to Silence and +3 to AC.

Also keep one Knock spell ready, for the odd lock she can not open. :)

I almost always use her. She is a good theif, and you can't poss her off enough to make her leave, or least I never have even with my caotic evil party.

Bad? Horrible?? Ehh...I dunno man. If you like making her wear special thieving gear and/or quaffing a potion of Master Thievery everytime you have to open a lock...you might like her.

That plus you will have to put up with her whinging...

I allways bring her with. Sometimes I drop her after Imoen. But rarely. I like her with Auren, that's great.
