[IMG] Hello all! I'm new in this forum and i'm looking forward to trade many toughts and opinions about the best game ever made.

My first topic is: how much damage can a character in your party inflict to an enemy with a single hit?
I would like to compare, to see if my Valygar, with hide in shadows, handling two swords, one of them being Celestial Fury, with backstab quintuple damage and making, in my opinion, an awesome 100 hit points damage with a single hit, is a character i should be proud of...ah, no cheats here.

    Thanks all.

Correction: Now my record is 162 hit points.

I remember I dealt out about 180 damage with my halfling fighter-thief, str-21, backstabbing with kashiko's wakizashi (1d8+3 damage), dealing out quintuple damage. That was in underdark iirc.

However, I once dealt out lucky 154 damage with a gnomish illusionist-thief with Kundane after casting strength on that char.
These numbers seem pretty hight but IMO are rather normal for backstrabbing on high levels.

F/M/T with only quadruple damage did 102 to the Yang-Te (?) mage upstairs in Nalia's Keep wielding Arabane's Sword + strength spell.

I was quite relieved to see the splatter since I've always found that bit challenging with the trolls backed up with a decent mage and me low level since like everyone else I tend to do this quest early.

I don't suppose Daystar's Special Ability counts? Else I'd have beaten you all with a good 1264 (give or take a few points, don't recall exact number)

100's pretty decent, but with Yoshimo I did a backstab with a critical hit and a short sword +2, and did 119 damage, it was great, of course it was against some thief in Athkatla-serves him right :D

102 or so with a fighter/thief backstab with Namarra. Relatively it's not much, but I don't use backstab a lot.

Oh, Faragon, does using Ctrl + Y count? Otherwise I woulda beaten you with 1300+ damage ;). Doing that 1200+ damage is normal for Sunray if undead fail their saves against it, IIRC.

You can get insane amounts on damage with backstabs, 100 is average when you are on the higher levels. I have been up and sniffing on 300 with overpowered super chars, legit though. Assassin x7 backstab str 21 and crit dishes out nice amounts of damage
