How old is Elminster?

    Right, I know he is human and all that but how old is he?

    To me he sounds like a Gandalf, an old human (in appearance at least) that is a good few millenia old.

    So how old is this old bat?

    I am Elminster of Shadowdale, called by some ... I've walked these realms for over a thousand years.

    FRCS - 241 DR (Year of the Hippogriff's Folly): Elminster Aumar enters the city of Cormanthor to serve Mystra's will.

    So this man is at least 1131 years old.
    Lemme see if there is more info...

    Edit:
    Athalantar was the long-ago birthplace of Elminster, the Old Mage, the last true prince of the realm.
    No year or such thing.

    No official source, but BG2's Edwin has a line ("Elminster? Hah, give me 2000 years and a pointy hat, and I'll kick his ass!") which suggests that Elminster is of a similar age.
