[IMG] I love the visuals in the game! Lets discuss some things!

    1) Has anyone noticed the faces the trees (and even land and rocks!) in the game?

    2) Anyone noticed on Volo's map that comes with the game, that the trees have faces on them too!

    3) Remember the screen north of Gullykin? See those big bones? Wow! Anyone know what creature those bones are from? A big Dire Bear perhaps? http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20050106a (scroll down)

Anymore graphics in the game that people really like? Lets discuss it (I also really wanna know what those bones are!).

I love the helmet animations in BG1. The only one I'd shift from BG2 is the default helmet; I hate those freakin' horns, and the BG2 "HELM01" has a much more vanilla look. They screwed over the Helm of Glory in the BG1 -> BG2 changeover, too. (They're wings, not horns! :nolike: )

I always figured the bones in the basilisk area were just the result of a "Basilisk Graveyard" or something like that. Maybe they're the bones of some giant aged basilisks who get toward the end of their life span and feel pulled to a specific location. That would certainly explain why there are so many of them there.

I try not to look for faces in the trees, though. :mommy:

    Faces in the trees? err...

I need to go replay the game. Wait scratch that, I don't have a PC right now :(

Generally speaking the artwork for the backgrounds looks very pretty. I personally like middle-eastern/Turkish architecture, and in that respect prefer those of BG2, but I have to say I was stunned the first time I walked into the city of Baldur's Gate.

The pretty eagles that fly over the field every now and then seem to be the same eagle sprites from Age of Empires.
