Importing items

    [​IMG] Shy greetings from a newbie. Hope this works all right!

    My favourite PC is a bard/rogue so I began NWN in that mode only to find Sharwyn - who I'd really like to play with!!! - is a bard as well, and two bards in a party get along as well as two cats in a sack.

    So following Auldar's henchmen mod readme I recreated Sharwyn as a fighter and imported her into NWN and, on levelling up, all is fine - except that she'd standing there in her underwear - lovely but not very practical - and all the weapons and armour I created her her in the mod has been left behind.

    Can anyone point me at a document which explains how I can import her itinery from the mod into NWN?

    Please?

    Hmm... I don't know how practical it is to edit stuff like that in the official campaign which has some custom stuff in that you need to figure out. I'd say the easiest solution would be to use the henchman inventory hack you can find on on SP... (NWN/Editors, Hacks etc.).

    That way you can just rearrange her inventory when you need to.

    Well, most probably the items may Have too high level or class restrictions. Or are simply not identified.

    When you make the items in the toolset, click the little [ ] Identifiable button. And make sure her Level 1 armour can be used by Level 1 characters.

    [​IMG] OK Folks, problem solved (I think!)

    The mistake was mine - and one of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing. As the new Sharwyn udc files needed a nw_ prefix I assumed that the new items with their udi files also needed a nw_ prefix and supplied one, but it seems they don't. Leaving them just as they are exported from the mod seems to work fine, and I have a beautiful, wicked killing machine called Sharwyn who is definitely in need a some serious therapy!

    The problem now seems to be that the items I created and are equipped rather than just carried in the backpack don't work well in Pausinias' henchman equipping hak - they're there the first time I ask to see Sharwyn's inventory but then disappear. More work, I fear.
