[IMG] Man, so I just installed and started playing. Got through the first Dungeon easily, the circus with no problem, and I was like :"man, this isn't too hard", but then I met the first slaver group with the improved mage and cleric and Sendai etc... They whopped my low experience and ill equipped party so fast I had no idea what happened: greater command + chaos + confusion before I had a chance too draw a blade and bam everyone's dead. Reloaded MANY times, and finally had to play on easy and still just 2 from my party survived... Welcome to Improved Anvil I guess!! Great MOD though, looking forward to many (very) challenging fights.. I'll be ready this thime though ;)

Feel free to ask around if you need any help! Many of the later fights can be extremely difficult and frustrating. For what its worth, I can help with most fights pre-spellhold except windspear. You might want to visit the mod's official site as well.

It's well enough done, but I'm not fond of the re-load button. Hence, one play-through was enough for me.

Drew, you did the whole IA4 without re-loading? That's pretty impressive. I think without going on easy for that one battle against the slavers, considering I was out of spells, not fully healed, low level -the slavers attack when you first change districts-, and with no good wepons, there was no way I could survive that one...

I most assuredly did not. What I meant was that, having played the Mod once, I do not intend to do it again. Because pressing the re-load button has an adverse effect on my fun.

True. Be prepared to reload a few times for all the improved battles

Don't try to go to "Bridge District" too early in the game and they will not appear so soon.

Additionally when changing districts, the Docks to Temple area always triggers an ambush for me. Happens everytime I play the game, but as my party was injured, I avoided it this time by zigzagging to the Temple district.
