So I recently started playing the original NWN campaign and I was planning on a class involving a few Shadowdancer levels, only to realize those classes are only available in the expansion. I should have known. So I decided to make a different rogue build only to realize one of the skills I wanted (tumble) was only available to the expansions (I forget which). I guess this means I need to go out and buy the expansions. My question is, if I do this, can I then get the tumble feat on my character or give him a level of assassin or something of that nature? Thanks for the help.

You can get the feats/skills the second the expansions are installed.

Well, at least that was the case for me.

Once you level up, yes. There's no chance to retroactively add feats or skills to your character that you would have taken, had you access to them.

As far as the assassin class (or any other prc) goes, just make sure you meet the prereqs for taking it.
