Eurogamer reports that Baldur's Gate 2 has been named "official" D&D movie game. Thank god. This means nobody will be trying to make a game based on the (by all accounts extremely crappy) movie. Coinciding with the UK release of the movie, which is February 9th 2001, Interplay will be releasing a Baldur's Gate 2 Collector's Pack, available in Europe only. Although Interplay has yet to announce the exact contents of the pack, it will be D&D movie-themed. Eurogamer also reports that Heart of Winter, the expansion for Icewind Dale, and the DVD edition of Baldur's Gate 2 will be released on the same day, February 9th 2001.
