    Um... it's actually Sorcerer's PLACE not palace you know. ;)
    Although the other does have a nice ring to it... hehehe.
    But to be honest, the chatroom project has failed rather miserably. It seemed that just me and Syl were using it. Once a few people came in and we had a nice chat, but that was it. No one wants to hang around, so the channel is constantly empty.
    I've just about given up hope on it. Unless I come up with something else regarding it (maybe a joint venture of all BG fan sites to fill it up) it'll stay as it is.
    The chat runs off some obscure secure server (I don't even know which one). Although I think it says when the java client start connecting.

    Anyway, your best bet right now is to join our EFnet channels.
    Any EFnet server goes, try channels #sorcerers and #baldursgate. I'm usually online almost every day at around 9-12 pm GMT+1.

    I had a nice little chat with Lord Moeken one day, but that was only because I sat in the chatroom talking to myself for quite a while. Every time I've peeked in, there's been nobody there, and I've run out of things to discuss with myself! :)

    i have run into a few people out there, but it seems as though people check the room, see nobody there and leave. i usually stay loged on for at least 30 minutes before i leave.

    I'm wondering whether I should revert back to advertising our EFnet IRC channels. I mean, it's either one or another and java obviously doesn't fly.
    But the problem is, EFnet didn't either before. How many of you even have an IRC client installed so that you could connect to IRC and chat with us?
    Or would be willing to download one? It's a simple procedure (download&install) but it seems most people avoid it like plague. I have no idea why.

    Oh man, if only I could get back on IRC. I do have a client installed and would love to get back on EFNET one of these days, but I have to go through a really crappy firewall at my university which blocks all the ports that IRC uses. I thought that this Java based client that you guys put on your page would be a great fix to my dilemma, but unfortunately that doesn't work for me either. I'm still working on a way to get around all of this. Right now, I'm experimenting with HTTP-Proxy Tunnel which might help me out. Hope to see you guys soon. Until then I'll be hanging out on the boards and you can always get ahold of me through email.
