[IMG] A nearly identical post was posted two days ago... How about reading the list of topics on the forum listing before opening a new one?

Only if you want to create your own modules, than it is the game for you.

I think it depends on what you want out of the game. If you want a great single player ala other bioware/black isle offerings, there isn't much of a need to rush out and buy it. What's included is ok, but nothing earth shattering, and I don't expect really great user created content to start apearing for a little while, (if they do...really hoping they do) so no rush to buy it because of that. It takes considerable time to put together a really well thought out game.

If you want it for multiplayer, again, no rush there. Multiplayer on the free servers is a big lagging disapoinment most of the time. There are lots of servers online, but, most are only running the official modules. IMO the official game modules aren't very enjoyable in multiplayer because of how dialog is handled. Others, including yourself, may find it different, but it irks me greatly not being able to follow long conversations easily when another party member is engaged in them. All the other online games (or the ones I've tried) are all 1/10 finished beta tests people put online for some reason. And watch out for the annoying PKing munchkins on open servers. Like with most good user creations, any persistant online worlds/campaigns will take time, so no rush if you're interested in Multiplayer either.

If you want to build your own worlds, though, I'd say go run and get it. It may not be the most versitile world editer out there, but once you get the hang of it, it's extremely nice and easy (cept for NWscript). With some imagination, you can create really intersting things with the toolset. For this reason, if you're interested, go out and get it tomorrow.

So what do you play now? When you don't have any good RPG to play anymore or when can buy NWN or play BG2 for the 10th time, I woiuld say: Just go for NWN. WHen you have more good games to play jet, then why shouldn't you wait?
