This is shaping to be one of the worst weeks for the Bush Administration.

After the scandals with Safavian, DeLay and Frist, Judith Miller, the New York Times reporter currently in jail for refusing to disclose her sources in the Plame business, has agreed to testify. Looks like her source is Scooter Libby, Cheney's chief of staff (so not Rove, after all). Washington Post article(there is some stuff in the NYT, of course, but since they are so annoying with the registration stuff...)

I wonder if we'll see some more indictments next week, coming from Fitzgerald's office.

Yep, I saw this too. Evidently Libby gave her the OK to reveal him as the source, in which case she was no longer bound to maintain her source in anonymnity. Of course, it is strange that Libby is talking, or at least allowing her to talk. It seems like unless he struck a deal he will at the very least lose his job, and could be facing criminal charges.

Bush could pull a Saemon Havarian on this one: It just hasn't been a good ten-day.

The worst thing is that both will walk away without so much as a dent.

Bush as Saemon Havarian  this is something which did not come to my mind. Come to think of it, there are some similarities: you know that every time you rely on this guy, you'll get screwed up :)

Returning to the Plame investigation: I sure hope the prosecutor has something big cooking. I would be quite dissapointed if after all the 'persuasion' it took to convince this lady to testify, he will just give a slap on the wrist to those involved.

Just an update: Miller testified for the second time yesterday to the grand jury (apparently regarding some notes about an early conversation with Libby), and she was called back again today. Apparently the prosecutor must have found what she has to say interesting :)

Rove was also called to appear again in front of the grand jury (for the fourth time, if I am not mistaken).

The suspense builds up ... :)
