My latest adventure was last night's Broodslayers Anniversary party. It consisted of a, partially, in character scavenger hunt. Special items were created and placed throughout the realm at random intervals. Each item was worth from 1 to 10 points, with prizes going to the character who accumulated the most points. I was lucky to be in an area as items were dropped and was the only one there at the time. When I turned in my finds with the first wave, I was leading the pack with 111 points. Unfortunately, others got even better luck later on and when I left, the leader was in the mid-300's. There was a special bonus for anyone who could collect at least 1 of all 44 different items. I don't think I was even half-way.

Fortunately, you could redeem your items found for 1XP per point and a random amount of prizes ranging from torches to magic items of your choice with an upper limit of +3. The type of prizes won depended on dice rolls made by the guildmaster/DM. He rolled decently for me as I got only three torches, but +6 worth of magic items. I chose three +2 items: Composite Longbow, Bracers of Dex, and Amulet of Natural Armor. This was a fantastic boon for my wannabe Arcane Archer, as that level of magic item is hard to find on the PW. They aren't stocked anywhere, but are sometimes found in a random monster drop and sold to a merchant. Only about 1200 more XP until I can actually use the bow.
