So I need to put two 80mm case fans in the front of my friend's computer case...but there's one problem, the manufacturer of his case though it would be a good idea to place the front USB/audio ports directly in front of where the two fans must be mounted. So I attached one of my standard 80mm X 80mm X 25mm to see if it would fit...it doesn't. So Now I'm looking for a case fan that will fit. The size I need is 80mm X 80mm X 15mm. I know it’s only 1cm smaller, but that’s all the space I need for it to fit, but I can't seem to find any online.

So if you know where to find a 80mm case fan that is only 15mm thick, please let me know! :rolling:

Well, I got the fans today! I installed them, and it looks like there is about 5mm of space to air to flow down from the front air-intake holes. My friend stopped by to pick it up...but he came with an idea. Now he wants me to cut out some the hard drive mounting rails so I can install a 2x 80mm radiator for a water cooling system he's been planning. I guess I should have seen that comming since I emailed him a link to my 'Liquid Cooling' thread.

This case is already a tight squeeze, and he's trying to add a water cooling system? Well, I'll see what I can do...I'm already thinking of moving the reservoir and the pump outside of the case to save some space, and if I do it right, it will look pretty cool. :rolling:

the idea of having liquid pipes on the outside of your case leading from the reservoir and pump give lots of ideas for a cool looking design :borg:
