    I'm really not sure what to say here. I have a neighbor who will always be a ten-year-old and he's the nicest, most unassuming kid you could ever meet. I don't think he has any prejudice. Both parent are very conservative but I don't know if he is.

    I think you can have conservative beliefs (such as religious beliefs) and be a social/political liberal. The linked article about social conservative beliefs is pretty interesting as well.

    You definitely can be. I'm religious and liberal, and there have been some great liberal and religious thinkers like Jacques Ellul, Chris Hedges, and the old Christian socialists.

    As for the study, asking questions like "should schools teach children to obey authority" to judge conservatism i'm not surprised they got those results.

    Like all such research, you have to question the method of obtaining the results and how they were interpreted. I'm always skeptical about these articles.

    Logically, though, some link between low IQ and prejudice makes sense. After all, a prejudice usually represents a grossly simplified outlook on a subject and would as such be more easy to grasp for those with less mental capacity. Which of course doesn't mean that there is an actual relation between the two or that such a relation would be so simple.

    And anyway, you can usually prove any relation with statistics and then you only have to come up with a semi-logical explanation for this perceived relationship.
