Lum the Mad

Hey!
What is the color sequence(up/down, left/right, purple/red/blue) of lighting the torches on the level with Lum the Mad's machine.

Spoiler version. The colours of the torches correspond the colours of the six couches (3 on either side of Lum's Machine) are the colours that you need to light the flames.

 

Cant you raise all of your stats with that lum machine?

 

Yes you can.

You can raise all your stats by one or divide them up among NPC's (i.e. give Imoen that one extra point in intelligence)
You can also get a nice weapon.
Ain't it great? That's why they made WK Lvl 3 hard (or at least harder) because the Machine of Lum the Mad is where it's at baby!

 

When I looked, you can only get good weapons...but I'm not sure...

5% Magic Resistance
+1 To All Atributes
Open Portal to next level
Storm Star +3 Mace

Dont want to spoil it for you all coz deciphering Lum's notes was real fun after realizing that it was not the key to lighting thsoe damn flames! go read Lum's notes, they're not hard to decipher...

 

When I did it, I did a BIG mistake. One the 3rd lvl...I said what the hell and junked all of the notes. Then when I got to the next lvl I realized I was sopposed to keep them...remember I junked it on the *3rd* lvl. OOPS.

Triangle Green Medium: +3 weapon (mace i think, upgradable to +5)
Blue Green Long: your magic resitance rises.
Circle Blue Long: increase Intelligence by 1
Square Blue Short: increase Dexterity by 1
Red Green Short: increases your charisma by 1
Square Short Medium: increases your strength by 1
Circle Red Long: increase your constitution by 1
Circle Square Triangle: increase your wisdom by 1
Triangle Red Medium: This will open that inactive portal to the next level!

now there are 504 different combinations, and the above 8 are the only safe ones, once you use any of the above combinations, you may not use it again, using it will result in some random effect, sometimes good, but usually bad....

 

What about the 100,000 experience?
I got it right 2 times by just messing around, but now i wish i knew the combo since only my main char and aerie got it, it would be nice for the rest of my party to get it, though the problem is i think its rather random since im almost certaint i never did the same combos.

 

Yeah, the 100,000 exp is completely random, with a 10% chance of it happening as opposed to some other awful effect. I tried doing one of the bonuses twice, and luckily all Minsc got was the 100,000 exp.
