[IMG] there are some other books you can find to make different items.
i think it may only be for magic users though..

Whoa?! There's a book for weapons and armor as well? Only one I ever found was for mage equipment. Where do you find this recipe book?

Back room of Shining Knight in Chapter 1. You have to [Persuade] the orc at the store to let you see the back room. There's a dwarven smith there who forges special items and he gives you a cookbook for them.

In chapter 3 I was given a weapons/armor book by the dwarven smith in the starting camp. Is it the same book you can have in chapter 1? I doubt since in this book there is stuff you need ~lvl 13+ to equip so not much use in chapter 1. So damn I missed the chapter 1 stuff. :(

[IMG] wouldn't worry too much cause the chap 3 book is basicly the same except enhanced
ie sonic sword +3 or is it +2.. i forget :p and in chap 1 it is only +1
but basicly all the same stuff in the book
although some of them really come in handy in Chap 1 :D

Actually, the enhancement bonus of the 'special' weapons you can have made depends on the weapon you take to the smith. Tried it out in Chapter 4 - took a +1 handaxe and then a +3 handaxe and while the cost is the same, the enhancement bonus will be different depending on what's put on the anvil. I'm not sure whether weapons with other enchantments on them will work either - worth trying out though ;)

I know the Feyduster short sword you can have made in Chapter 1 is different than the one in Chapter 3 (I made both, though I don't remember what type of short sword I used on the anvil in each case). The one I got in Chapter 1 had a chance to daze opponents, while the one in Chapter 3 had a chance to put them to sleep.

Does anyone know of a way to modify items into your inventory? I had some adamite in chapter 1 and, now I am almost finished with chapter 3 and have yet to find anymore.

Sagacious, I'm not sure what you mean to do. If you mean editing your inventory so that you get some more, yes, that is possible using the DM console.

[IMG] Just a question, I just made the Uthgardt Blade and it has a "keen" ability. What does it do?

[IMG] Keen blades have a better critical hit score...Instead of the 19-20 critical hit, the uthgardt blade is lowered to 17-18 for critical hits.

[IMG] another thing to keep in mind is saleability. i have a monk character so just about everything in the chapter one book was useless to me (except the gladiator club). but if you happen upon the items to make stuff, by all means DO IT! it only costs you 500 gold to make it, then you can turn around and sell those magical items for thousands!

Ditto for stuff at the Seedy Tavern. What else are you going to do with all those smuggler's coins? Buy the "special" items from the auctioneer then sell them right back to him.
