Many members play sports, but how many also coach or train?

For myself I give field hockey training to juniors. Two groups 10-13 year old. Done so for ten years whit all junior ages and sexes. Up and downs, two local championships but also struggles to give away the red lantern.

I coach a boys under 12 travel soccer team.

I highly recommend parents to get involved in coaching as it is very rewarding and fulfilling. However, do NOT consider it, if you are hypercompetitive and/or a crazy person. Sports are for the kids, not the parents. Every year I always end up having to remind someone that "The fate of the free world is not depending on the outcome of this game."

I assistant coach on my son's little league baseball teams. I cannot commit to being the head coach because of my job, but I love staying involved.

I was an assistant coach once... I'll only do that again if I'm allowed a permit for a concealed weapon. Some parents are insane.

When Marcus is old enough to play soccer, Arlyn wants Velcro to be the coach so he can be the official assistant.

I coached canoeing for a while a couple of years back, and worked as a kids swimming instructor for a grand total of 2 weeks (part of a vacation learn-how-to-swim type of thing), and I must say employers love to see this kind of thing! - if anyone ever has trouble getting casual work, this is the thing to do.
I've kind of been off sport since i started uni last year (the hours required for my course are goddam insane), but I've been keeping fit and intend to get back into playing/coaching when I have the time.

As part of my senior project I helped coach a middle school basketball team this year... and plan on coaching more in the future (after high school and college too probably).

I coach a 14-15 year old Traveling team for baseball. I would coach an older team if I could but its generally easier to coach a team if you aren't the same age as the players. Being only 19 would make that difficult.

Great team they won their district and zone this season and placed 4th in state. Not bad for a first year traveling team. Many of the players(pitcher's in particular) showed some marked progress. Was extremely enjoyable and somewhat renewed my enthusiasm for baseball...although I still refuse to play it for my college.
