    Marmageddon has been interesting. My kids live on the stuff, so it would have been inconvenient to run out. I bought 3 jars, so we'll be fine. Loads of people have been trying to sell jars of Marmite on TradeMe,which is pretty hilarious.

    But before any smug Americans start laughing too much, replace the word "marmite" for "peanut butter" and tell me the reaction would be any different. It's an acquired taste, but marmite occupies virtually the same niche in the NZ nutritional ecosystem as peanut butter does in USA.

    Oh, I understand that it's inconvenient like you say. I just thought "freaking out" and "Marmageddon" and an international news story were a bit much :)
