    Hello and Good Days,

I have had a very annoying problem with NWN.

After completing the waterdhavian creatures quest in chapter one I speak to aribeth and then I am gone to the ritual chamber. After about 5 seconds the game just stands still the music plays without stuttering but nothing more. I took a visit to the task manager and I saw that the memory usage was about 236MB and counting.

I then from the configuration and options menu lowered down and disabled everyhing I can but the problem continued.

these were the symptoms. As to my specs

I have a dual core turion x64, and an onboard ATI Mobility Radeon x1150.

I run the game with processor affinity set to only one cpu (the game happened to crush when saving especially at the main docks district area)

I also run the game with the prc pack.

After all these things I have to say that I suspected the prc pack the most, I liked it for the lich prestige class and spell additions but what the hell most of the nice spells added just does not work properly...

So what should I do what do you suggest??

    Thanks in advance

Do you have the latest official patch installed?

Prc may be contributing to the problem. I tried it briefly, but it slowed the game down so much that I just couldn't endure going through the whole game with it. I would suggest uninstalling it and seeing if your game has improved.

For Taluntain: I did use the latest official patch. And tried no unofficial patches.

It was probably the prc because I reinstalled the game (my character was gone...) and used the dm gui to advance through the final parts of the 1st chapter, not only the game performance improved but also there were no silly runtime errors.

It is dissapointing that such a major project comes out to be a real pain. You really need to be lucky to not to have any problems. I was really demanding for the lich templete class though.

Anyway this is just unnecessary talk; I guess that the problem is solved...

    Thanks for all
