[IMG] Now, I'm not exactly sure where this movie is being released-since I know the american release is fairly limited-but if it happens to come near you *go see it*. It's a new movie by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean (script and visuals, respectively) and while it's technically a kid's movie... well, I adored it. It's creepy and beautiful and mind-blowing, with the McKean visuals, and it's ... well, it's written by Neil Gaiman, which I think is explanation enough. (On a side-note, I got to meet him and have him sign a copy of Anansi Boys back in september, and so I'm just *mad* about Neil Gaiman now. Oh, and if you've never read the Sandman comic series, you really really should.) So anyway, it's wonderful, so see it. And if you have seen it, let me know what you think.
(I'm in a bit of a huff, because a lot of the critics have more or less blasted it, saying that the story was apparently not complex enough...I mean, being a kids movie and all, this isn't supposed to be War and Peace, but I hate critics anyway.)
