Mods for solo thief

I've decided to try solo-thief campaign for a change and I'm looking for mods that enhances gaming experience. Currently I have G3Fix- and TweakPacks installed with Dungeon-Be-Gone. I don't know mod scene well so I thought this is good place to get help.

I'd like to avoid cheese using as much as possible ie. UAI and traps with preknowledge, but ofcourse it isn't always option in solo game.

What was the mod wich let you choose amount of experience your party gets? Is it possible limit your XP equal to amount you get in full party with it? And is game doable with thief after that?

 

Zyraen's Miscellaneous Mods contains an element that allows one to impose a "stage based XP cap" - the max xp of all party members is restricted at each stage of the game...

You may also be thinking of DEF JAM, which lets you scale down XP rewards throughout the game however you please, which is also available from the indispensible pocketplane.net.

Any other mod suggestions? (I wonder how long it takes to Silverstar bump in and say "Try IA3! I'm playing it now! It's cool mod!" )

OMG, I would not reccomend IA to a solo player, no no no!

However, know that IA is still the best mod I have beheld, but...err..back on topic!

Do you have expanded thief stronghold mod? It is very nice for a thief PC, it adds quite a lot of extra quests, events, and goodies to the normally very crappy stronghold. Get it at Blucher's page. (google Blucher and Thief stronghold expansion mod, I am kinda lazy right now! )

 

Thanks Silver! I downloaded the mod and it seems to be kind of I was looking for. Nice that you share your knowledge of mods.

I haven't use much of mods before, and what I tried were buggy or badly designed. To me it seems like some modders make mods for themselves, not for gamers. (Ofcourse they have right to do so, as I have right to choose the mods I play)

I decided to play game as a Skie from BG1. (I admit I have some pervert 'thing' for her) She got pretty good stats though.

So, is there more recommendations for solo thief? I'm not looking necessarily mods that make game harder, I'm looking something that enhances gaming.

You may try Rogues Rebalancing and Song&Silence mods, they enhance thief/bard kits, adds new kits, items, and revises thieves generally for an unique gaming experience!
