    Hi there,

I'm wanting to replay this game and adding some mods and was wondering what are the best mods to add?

I want some that will add to the playability, I'm not too fussed on new content, just perhaps things that were left out in the original cut.

Although if there is an IWD mod or a BG mod for IWD 2 then that would also be cool.

Also any mods that people think will enhance the experience

There is a "Subraces" Mod that I liked. Added Gold and Wood Elves to the Elf choices, though you have to remove 2 other races to do so.

Also there is a Mod that lets you add some of the Demi-human dieties, though you can still only have 9 to choose from. You can mix and match after downloading. It adds Corellon, Moradin, Garl Glittergold, Yondolla, Gruumsh and Lloth. They each have their own domain spell list and abilities for some added variety to your Cleric choices. You have to screw around with a notepad-like file. I found it easy to do.

    IWD2 NPCs is another.

My favorite is the Light of Selune mod. You can search for threads about it here at SP. Good stuff.

The game plays pretty well without any mods, which is a good thing because there aren't too many IWD2 mods in existence. The best general mod is Ease of Use, but read each component carefully before installing (personally, I really like the "Armor and Shields Provide Damage Resistance" component).

"Light of Selune" is also one of my favorites. It makes some small changes to a few classes, and makes traps more of an issue.

There's also "Tactics4IWD2". It's quite good, but does bump up the difficulty of boss fights quite a bit. I wouldn't recommend it your first time through -- there are some "insta-kill" battles if you aren't set up correctly.

    --Edit--
Oh yes, and don't forget about MindChild's fixes (see the Bug Fixes thread). He adds some cool things like monks retaining their AC when wearing robes, and Paladins of Mystra who can dual-class to Sorcerers as well as Wizards.
