I just saw an article talking about old RPGs, and it referenced a game I hadn't thought about in about 20 years, but I absolutely loved it as a kid. Moebius - The Orb of Celestial Harmony. It was part RPG, part action game. You basically had to figure out a way to make it through the four elemental planes of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire and recover the Orb from bad guy (forget his name). I can probably download it as Abondonware and play it on my current computer.

I never finished that game - it was pre-internet, so you couldn't just log onto a help site and get a walkthrough. To complete an elemental level, you had to go to these temples, kill an evil priest, and bring in a good monk to take his place. There are varying degrees of difficulty in doing this on the four levels, but the fire level seems particuarly difficult, in that while it is certainly possible to kill the evil priests, the good monks are located on this little island far away from the temples. You can ask the monk to follow you, but he isn't nearly as good of a swimmer as you are, so he inevitably drowns before he gets back to the mainland temple.

That's why I was never able to complete the game.

Anyone else ever hear of this game?
