I am looking to buy a Rogers phone because I got sick of the uber-expensive Telus Mobility prepaid, and I have a TDMA service activated with Rogers, so naturally I intend to return with them.

So... I want to get a phone off eBay, and both the V60i (GSM version) and the V60t (TDMA version) interest me.

Forgetting the fact that TDMA is doomed to disappear, which one of the two versions has better sound quality/reception/battery life? If anyone has/had one of the two versions, I would be interested in hearing your feedback.

    Thanks.

I can't help you with providers and technologies, as you are in a different region than I am...but I can say this:

If you buy a cell phone off of eBay, make sure it is listed as "new in-box" and try to get one that is "unlocked". By getting an "unlocked" phone, all you need to do is slide your SIM card in to the phone and it will work. If it is not "unlocked" you'll have to buy a phone specifically lised under whichever provider you end up getting. :rolling:

Well I am not bothered by a locked phone since I intend to remain with Rogers.

TDMA is identical to CDMA in the point that it requires programming...

Now I know TDMA works fine, I have a TDMA Panasonic who works damn well. The real question is, which version works better... and if it works better than my Panasonic.
