    Hi guys,

I've been discussing this topic with a number of people lately and it seems to be a mixed bag. How many of you are active movie goers? It seems to me like the numbers are dropping significantly because of the increase in options available. Personally, I like DVD and VOD because of the convenience. But some things are worth seeing in the theater. The movies are a big part of my life:) I guess it's just a question of format preference? But when one has the convenience of downloading a film to an IPOD, it's hard to see theaters surviving an age when even PS3s are connected to the internet and capable of providing movies on blu-ray. The options are staggering when you think about it. I'd really hate to see movie theaters go away, but maybe there will just be fewer in the future? I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. Thanks for reading!

I used to go a lot to the movie theaters, but less so nowadays. Once HD and Blu-ray hit the markets, I have watched about every new interesting movie on Blu-ray at home. DVD and VOD are not options for me, as they lack in quality. Maybe VOD in the future, once there is enough bandwidth available to stream quality HD content in real time.
