i dont know why, but no matter what forgotten realms game i play (Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale 1 & 2, Neverwinter Nights 1 & will tell of two when i get it) my computer shuts down or restarts periodicly through the game (a common XP problem with BG1 atleast) but my computer had to take that problem and blow it outta proporsion!!

it doesnt happen with ANY other game, as could be assumed if there was a problem on a larger scale (over heating or something) its only on any game that is set in the forgotten realms.

i have an AMD Sempron 2400, ATI RAdeon 9700 pro, 2 gigs of ram and a mountain of frustration! If it matters i have all those games installed on the same drive (im trying to make a Forgotten Realms section of it, Ive converted alot of my D&D books to PDF so they're on there too =D)

Maybe the hard drive where your Forgotten Realm stuff are in is the problem.

this is a long shot: are your videocard drivers up to date. I had something similair with a game that conflicted with my old 9800 pro.

I would probably download all the newest drivers for everything if I were you.
