I'm currently soloing Kensai/Mage dual-class.
Kensai lvl 13
Mage lvl 18... I got a patch wich takes away the NPC hostilitys

Very Minor Spoiler for absolut new players.. mayby atleast, I dunno really .

(for example you can have Minsc and Korgan in the same party for the whole game). But that patch also took away my Exp Cap so I get High Level Abilitys in SoA(!). Just finished Firkraag and that wasn't very hard with Improved Alacrity . Now I got two questions:
1. If anyone have done this, will it be to easy?
2. If I import my game to ToB later will it set the exp to.. what is it, 2.500.000 exp?

You have to get some patch to keep your partymembers from killing eachother?!? If you don't want to end up with someone dead, make a different partycomposition! Of course Evil and Good will not always work well together!

One question though... If you're Soloing this Kensai/Mage; Then why do you need some patch to keep Minsc and Korgan apart?

As for your questions:
1) Of course it will. It is at this point the game is probably already to easy.
2) No, I don't think so, the game will import your character as it is. Even if it did, you'd only lose the levels you gained with the expcapremover.

 

I think you keep the exp if you already have TOB installed. Can't imagine how you got the high level abilities otherwise, so you probably have. I think it only sets the exp to 2.5m if you have less.

BTW, with TOB installed there is no exp cap for SOA. It's the TOB exp cap. I maxed out at 8m for a solo character in Underdark......

 

Heh, I'm a lvl 13 kensai and lvl 20 mage and I'm just about to go to Asylum . Only the Fallen Paladin quest then I set sail .

Faragorn - I installed the patch coz I needed to have Keldorn and Vicionia in the same party.

1st, for what do you need Vicionia and Keldorn in the same party for? There is no quest or whatever which requires them both.

2nd, it's Faragon, not Faragorn.

3rd, Do you know what solo means?

 

FaragoN - I need Viconia and Keldorn in my THIEFs party. Anomen didn't wan't to be a Knight (dunno why ) and Aerie... well I got Haer'Dalis in the party and I want him there. So the only Cleric left is Viconia. And I hate druids.

I'm playing aSOLOgame with my Kensai/Mage, although sense the exp cap is gone, I'm a lvl 21 mage right now

SOLO means SOLO. SOLO means ALONE. Soloing the game MEANS not use any NPCS!!!

Sigh.

When I soloed my various characters, I only (not always - sometimes I just killed Valygar to get the Planar's Sphere Quest) used NPCs to unlock Quests, but that was only when it was unavoidable. As a Good character I was inclined to help Valygar... as an Evil one I wasnt.

But when you say I solo the game man... you play with only one character, yours, in this case your Kensai/Mage.

Keldorn & Viconia? Wtf? Korgan & Minsc? Wtf?

I've already told you, I needed the patch for an NPC game, NOT for my Kensai/Mage! I AM SOLOING my Kensai/Mage; ONLY one char. I know that Solo means ffs. And the thing about Minsc & Korgan was just an explination (how the **** do you spell that word?) of the patch.

Okay, Anomen does want to be a knight, you just got to give him the right dialogue to stay on the path of the righteous. (Tell him vengeance is bad, justice will be passed out by proper authorities etcetera.)

I got high level abilities in Shadows of Amn without soloing. And without any cheat-patches, just the official one.

Well, now I'm lvl 33 at 8.6 million exp, and I've just returned from the Underdark. Heh, my "favourite tactic" for the moment is to cast Improved Alacrity, then Time Stop, and coz I got the Robe of Vecna and Amulet of Power, my casting time is reduced by 5 . Well, anyway, cast those two and then I've got time to cast,
3 Abi-Dalzim,
5 Finger of Death,
2 Breach,
1 Pierce Magic,
2 Chromatic Orb,
2 Magic Missile,
And also protection spells if need be, although I'm always on a Chain Contigency with Improved Mantle, Globe of Invunurability (can't spell today ) and Protection from Energy.
Contingency with Fire Shield(red).
Also a Spell Sequencer with Blur, Mirror Image and Improved Invisibility.
Then I'm pretty unkillable. Totaly, just tried to attack Adalon and I took her down in 2 rounds with magic. Then I took all of my protections and attacked her with Celestial Fury and Dak'kon's Zerth Blade and totaly meated her in about 4-5 rounds!
Oh, well, I know I'm just babbling here, but it so goddamn funny! I mean, both Firkraag, Tha... the Shadow Dragon and Adalon were walks in the park.

Whoa! That is *so* cool! At the end of Throne of Bhaal he'll probably have 563 *billion* experience points and be unbeatable! Even the final fight will be sooo easy!

Can someone explain to me what the fun really is in having übercharacters, which chop themselves through the game in a day or two? Because I don't see it...

Well, I got to the end of the Underdark and felt kinda bored, so I started another game up

 

The funny thing about it is playin a multi-player game with other people, all using ubercharacters, then mashing eachother and see who comes out best!
