OK I played BG with Easy TuTu and lots of mods last week. Infiltrated and then battled the bandit camp, and then when I went back to Naskel to sell stuff, I realised that I had a few mythril rings in my inventory? They looked the same as silver rings, so I realised only when the shopkeeper offered 300+ GP for them, instead of the regular 3 gp for silver rings.

The item description is long and it says the ring is ready to be enchanted, and it would be wise to hold on to it.

So, how does this thing work? BTW, which mod's content is this, or is it in regular game? Finished vanilla game once but never saw those. How/where can I enchant it? High Edge knows nothing about it. Any clues, without very big obvious spoilers will be welcome. Immy now wears 2 of these babies proudly. :)

I asked the same question back in August last year but didnt get much of a response. Apparently they have something to do with Xzar, though I am not exactly sure what.

If Xzar is going with you, keep them. If he isn't, just sell them.

OK, Xzar is currently drinking and raving in the Friendly Arm Inn so I guess I will sell these for a quick profit. Thanks!

The rings are from BG1NPC, I believe.

Yup. The BG1 NPC Project. If you have Xzar, you want these babies along for the ride. There are some (evil) options in Xzar's questing that end up giving other reagents, and if you run by Sorcerous Sundries you can get some new magic items. If not, or if you are a Paladin who is about to turn Xzar into a pincusion, sell 'em.
