    Round Here

    Spin softly through images,
Pictures of home, one to all,
And a sigh for a handshake.
A rustic wave over a wash of green,
The youngling corn pulls rough-hewn workers
    From ancestral oak tables,
Pushes as one vast crowd nods out beyond the horizon.
Soft reds of cherry pie and tomatoes
Beckon with families, patient as old clocks.
The leisurely quietness of night holds,
Wraps the white-blue lilac from fear,
Nightmares of a rose tumbling through darkness.

I like it too, Shralp. Especially when it gets a bit dark at the end.
