[IMG] First off, I'm new to the board! It rocks! Ahem, but anyway...

I've also picked up IWD and HOW for the first time in a few years. I've played the game a few times through, and now that I'm going back I wish I could inject a little life into the experience.

Unlike the majority of posters here, I DONT need party advice...I know how to make a fun party. What I need is some BIG mods for IWD, not convienance mods or simple hacks. Something that really makes a difference! Can someone steer me towards some good ones that fit this description?

Trials of the Luremaster is an official "expansion to the expansion" (more like a mini-expansion) release by BIS after HoW, and is freely downloadable from lots of places (including SP). Other than that there are no major mods for IWD. Auril's Bane (which can be installed on top of Trials, or without it) adds a couple of quests and a few merchants, and changes many of the items you get in the game. That's about as far as you can go with a different experience with this game, unfortunately. If you're looking for something like the BG2 modding experience, it just doesn't exist for IWD.

    That's a shame, ziad.

I did download the TOTLM mod, I'm going to save it until I actually reach that level in the game.

    Thanks for the tips, folks!

Though I'm loathe to say it as I despise the changes that HoW makes to an otherwise good 2e game, you've already gone with HoW so I suppose I can put that behind me for a moment. ;)

What I say is: don't wait. TotLM is an official expansion, and as such, includes some patching. You won't be sorry that you installed it, from the raves I've heard about it, and you might even be sorry if you don't.
