Ok, my low end BG2 machine has failed me for the last time, and I am on a budget but want a decent computer that can play Neverwinter Nights (so a 64 mb video card is needed :) ). I am on a budget, $300, and I'm looking for something at least pentium III power, 512 mb ram, and 80gb hard disk space. I don't need a keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc, I already have those and just want the desktop.
I know a decent $300 computer exists, for my friend bought one not too long ago and can play FFXI without any problems, as well as multitask and to all those other essential computer things.

Any ideas/links as to where i can get this?

You should of went to Best Buy this morning for the $150 computer sale. My dad bought a Pentium D computer with 19" LCD monitor, printer, etc for $750 this morning.

You should go to a major computer retail store to shop around. They'll try to puch all the extra's you said you don't need, but eventually, you'll get the actual price for just the tower. And chances are, you can get a Celeron D or better for about $300. Just keep checking their ads in the Sunday paper, and I'm sure you'll find a good deal. :rolling:

Ebay a few parts and add them to you current machine (so you have two hard drives, and don't have to shell out for a new case, fans, CD drives, modem etc.)
you may even be able to reuse your RAM (duel it with another larger one)

Your best bet is Walmart. They have full systems for around $400. That of course includes 17" CRTS monitor, system, speakers, etc...
