BarrysWorld has posted their impressions of BioWare's Neverwinter Nights based on a demonstration. Here's a sample of the article:

Perhaps the most dazzling aspect of NWN were the graphics - they were truly amazing. At one point, Trent was leading his captive audience of drooling spectators through an immense foresty area within the game. Light filtered through the forest canopy overhead, making dappled patterns on the leaf-strewn floor. Strong, dark shadows (all processed real-time) of the lofty trees criss-crossed the dusty pathway and fell clearly and realistically across our heroine as she progressed towards a misty canyon, plunging dramatically into some dark, lost depths. The light from the sun and the shadows of the trees were reflected in the shiny areas on the suit of armour worn by our character. The spells cast by the character were rendered in breath-taking, full-colour 3D - a spell to cure light wounds swirled around the character in a blue mist and another spell summoned a Fire Elemental which strode around the forest with flames blazing from every limb.
