The last game I bought was FATE and I quickly beat that game in a matter of 3 weeks. The game I played and finished before FATE was GHIII for PS3. I am more interested in a RPG with companions. I would like to play NWN2 but that requires updating my computer. I also would like to find a game that can be picked up at Best Buy or Game Stop. Any suggestion?

Try Dungeon Siege, Then google the lazaraus mod which converts it to Ultima 5.

I second that. Lazarus is an incredibly well done remake, even with some rather nasty issues still present. Dungeon Siege itself is awful so don't bother playing it. Its only use is to be the Lazarus Runtime, as I've seen it called elsewhere.
