Hi, I finally picked up IWD, and got the expansion along with it.

I discovered that you make up the whole party - that's a little disappointing - I was hoping for joinable NPC's.

Anyway, I see that there is a level limit on your characters of 30 by the time they reach the end of HoW. Is the game really big enough to have level 30 characters? How is the level limit applied to multi-classed and dual-classed characters? For example, if I make a multi-classed fighter-thief, will that character only be able to get to level 15-15? Or if I start with a fighter, dual-class at level 7, does that mean I can only get to level 23 in the new class?

You will reach level 30 only if you play on Heart of Fury mode (and thus finish the game twice). In the end of HoW I had about 1,500,000 experience points on each character. Feel free to make multi- and dual-classed characters. Especially multiclass thieves are good (since you don't need singleclass thief at all)

So it's possible to (in theory) get a multi-classed character that's 30/30? That's insane. I mean, you'd have to go through the game a few times, but still a 30/30 multi-classed character would be unreal.

You should download the free second expansion called 'Trials of the Luremaster' this way you will get more experience and it has some great quests.

You can probably download it here at SP under the IWD section.
