New romances and a technical question

    First for the technical side: I recently installed ToB. I encountered a problem when I first installed it; none of the text would show up in the game. I re-installed it, which seemed to get rid of the problem. I got as far as the first time the PC is in the pocket plane, but whenever I try to summon a party, the cursor starts flickering from the pointer glove to the "use" mode, and I can't seem to summon any other NPCs. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and, if so, does the patch remedy it? I'm running a fairly high-end computer with Windows XP (the horror :lol: ).

    And as far as romances go...what are the ones everyone would most like to see as mods? I can imagine that Mazzy is going to be popular...:) And what are everyone's feelings towards Bhaalspawn romances, as in the PC with Imoen or Sarevok? Weird, fun, angsty...? Definetly angsty. :D

    You can't. He was wondering what people would like to see as a mod. There is a group currently working on an Imoen romance (would whoever posted the link on the other thread post one here please?). Taluntain said that he would put it on SP once it's completed. Would be interesting to see how they implement it, as couldn't this qualify as incest?

    About your technical problem, I do know what causes it, and I do know how to fix it. It is caused by opening another program (usually Windows Explorer) that does not close properly and remains in RAM. To fix the problem, restart your comp before playing, then once the computer restarts, try going into the game without opening anything else. Let me know if this works. There is more that you can do to remedy this problem, but the above should work.

    [EDIT]
    Alright, half-sibling. Either way, I still think it would be highly unusual, but might be interesting to see how this project actually comes out.

    [IMG] Not this topic again. Can you tell the difference between HALF-brother and HALF-sister and brother and sister? Because it's a major one. You don't have brothers or sisters. You have half-brothers and half-sisters.

    There isn't that much difference between half-brothers and full brothers. I think a romance with Sarevok would be wierd a) he already has a girfriend, b) you gave him part of your soul... you'd be soulmates! :grin:

    [IMG] The Chloe mod is the only mod I'm interested in. It'll provide a choice of romance between Chloe and either the protagonist or Imoen.

    @Abyssal Knight
    What on earth were you thinking when you wrote that? :confused:

    Thanks Rastor! I was talking about mods. I'll try to be a little clearer next time. :) Unfortunately, that problem is still coming up. There's a virus protection program that starts running automatically when I start my computer that might be causing it; I'm not sure. Can you just use the CLUAConsole to summon the Spectator?

    You can use CLUA to summon just about anything, though I have to wonder what that has to do with new romances or technical issues :hmm:
