Is it necessary to find Nordom before you kill the Evil Wizard? The posts I've read here seem to always do the maze in that order. I'm asking because I've killed the wizard, but have not yet found Nordom.

EDIT: The maze has definitely changed since I killed the wizard, although I didn't tell the engineer to reset it. The rooms that I cleared are still cleared, but the doors have moved. I found the wizard to the east and north originally, but now, while searching for Nordom, I've stumbled back into the wizard's chamber, still cleared, but now in the center of the grid. I still have a number of rooms to check, but I suspect Nordom has left the arena.

I nearly always fight the wizard before I find Nordom for some reason... I don't think it makes a difference.

He's always in the last room I check...

Thanks for the encouragement, RQ. Nordom was indeed in (almost) the last room, and had I chosen the alternate path for the final half-dozen rooms, he would have been in the very last. So it seems that if you kill the Evil Wizard first, the maze resets and moves Nordom to the least accessible place. It blocked me off completely from the original path I'd taken to the Evil Wizard. Of course you could probably thwart this by continuing without a pause to rest.
