What is exactly "NPC": Non Playable Char or Non Player Char? If it is the first then Aerie, Keldorn and the other aren't NPCs because you CAN play with them. So?

It is Non-Player Character, like PC is Player Character, or Personnal Computer (or Psycho Cat)

Numerous times, though, they tend to be overpowered and boreing due to lack of dialog.

(that's why I creat a hybrid game - 3 PCs, 3 NPCs. It's the best of both worlds)

[IMG] Aerie, Keldorn, Viconia and the others are NPC's that can join you, and when they join you, you can control them, so it ain't NPC's anymore. But they can diecide to leave you or to talk to others, so it arn't PC's either.

So I guess They change from NPC to PM (Party Member)

They are still NPCs. An NPC is a character that ISN'T the player, created by the player, or 100% controlled by the player, so they are still NPCs!
