Well, folks, this is all just for fun. I have spent some time writing up a character from my work in Creativity Surge as a 3rd edition NPC. Tell me what you think and feel free to post your own NPCs as well, epic or non-epic.

    Power Points/day: 11

Psychic Warrior powers: 3/3/2. 0- Burst, Detect Psionics, Far Punch. 1st- Feel Sound, Feel Light , Hear Light. 2nd- Equilibrium, Combat Prescience.

Possessions: Ring of Regeneration, Cloak of Resistance +2, Shadow Leather Armor +3, Case of Plenty with Exploding Bolts (+1D6 extra fire damage), keen katana, keen wakizashi, Rune Breaker (+1 True Striking short sword), repeating hand bow.

Rune Breaker: When the holy sword Syn Vinac was destroyed in the battle against the True Father, much of its magic remained in its ruined hilt, albeit in a dormant state. Dlevkias the Hell Forger stripped the sword of its blessed nature and re-forged it into a weapon to counter magic. Rune Breaker creates a field if magic resistance 25 in a 5 foot radius upon a mental command and its wielder can cast Greater Dispel like a 20th level Sorcerer as a standard action each turn.

Anarchist Template: With the taint of the Anarchist within, Shura is subject to periodic uncontrollable frenzies in battle. For every round of battle beyond the 5th, he must make a Will Save (DC25) or fly into a killing rage, attacking every living thing in sight. While in a rage, Shura gains +4 to strength, + 4 to constitution, -2 to AC and a +2 morale bonus to all saves. The rage ends when everything within sight is dead, Shura is dead or unconscious or he makes a Will Save (DC 30). The rage places a great strain upon his body so Shura takes 15 points of subdual damage and 10 points of normal damage for every round beyond the 5th that he flies into a rage. When the rage ends, Shura is exhausted, suffering a –2 to strength, -2 to constitution and an inability to run for 10 rounds. He suffers a –4 diplomacy check with all Good or Lawful creatures and gains a +1 diplomacy check with all Evil or Chaotic creatures. All Good or Lawful creatures take an additional 3 points of damage from any wound inflicted by Shura and Lawful Good creatures suffer a –8 on spell craft and concentration checks when casting spells in his presence. Shura is immune to charm, domination and compulsion effects. Only 5% of all divine spells work on him.

Discordance: A corrupted form of the sword technique known as Harmony, Discordance bestows a displacement effect upon Shura that can not be negated or dispelled in any way, not even True Sight. Upon using this technique, which he must declare that he is doing so at the beginning of every round, Shura is entitled to only 1 attack instead of his usual full attacks with a light weapon at a +20 attack bonus. He also gains a +8 AC bonus.

Sword of Darkness: His hereditary sword technique, the Sword of Darkness focuses entirely on offense and carnage. When using Darkness, Shura deals double damage with each hit. This applies to critical hits as well. He suffers a –4 penalty to AC.

Path of Slaughter: The evil nature of the Sword of Darkness brings about a wildness of mind and a heedless bloodlust within the wielder. An additional +4 is applied to the DC to resist going into a killing frenzy when Shura uses Darkness.

Demon Blood: With the blood of the Evil One flowing in his veins, Shura does not age. He is also immune to poisons and diseases.

Battle: Shura strikes from the shadows when he can, killing his opponents with stealth. Against spell casters, he is quick to employ his hand bow and Rune Breaker. Against multiple opponents, Shura makes use of his whirlwind attack feat and generally uses his Darkness technique. He is utterly heedless of his survival and fights with an almost suicidal fervor, rarely making an effort to subdue his killing rages. Against a single overwhelming adversary, Shura employs Discordance, seeking to outlast his enemy. The swordsman is utterly ruthless and merciless when it comes to battle. To distract Good PCs, he has no qualms about striking at innocent bystanders and taking hostages. If need be, he will willingly sacrifice a thousand lives to achieve victory in battle. Despite his wild fighting style, Shura is a cunning adversary and is more than capable about using his high intelligence to outthink and outwit his enemies. He is a superb improviser and can react to surprising circumstance with remarkable speed, though he has little in the way of contingencies or escape plans.

Shura stands just under 6 feet, a towering giant of a man to the people of the east. His hair is a long, tangled mess of white tinged with black and his eyes are small and dark. Tiny red pinpricks of light within his black irises bear evidence to the infernal taint within him. The swordsman’s face is weathered and lined with small scars, testimonial to the countless years of battle that he has been through. A perpetual grim sneer is his customary expression and his remarks, when he bothers to speak, are callous and scathing to the extreme. The swordsman is a cold and distant ally and a fearsome enemy for he is capable of bearing a grudge forever.
He treats other fighters with disdain and looks down even more upon barbarians and rangers, seeing them as nothing more than unskilled louts. Shura regards monks with a grudging respect, though little more, if they have proven their battle prowess. He mistrusts wizards and sorcerers and will never willingly enter a situation where the arcane spell caster has an advantage over him. Shura will never ally himself with a cleric, whatever deity he/she worships and will take any opportunity to kill a paladin. He attacks celestials or anyone with a hint of celestial blood on sight, giving no quarter and asking for none. The swordsman is indifferent to druids, bards or rogues, though he admits the usefulness of their skills.

Background: The swordsman’s past is largely unknown, though his recent deeds have sent his name into the darkest annals of history. Entire villages have been wiped out by him just because there was a church dedicated to the One God within. (In other campaigns, any church dedicated to a Lawful Good or Lawful Neutral deity will incur his wrath.)
A hundred paladins, mighty heroes all, have fallen to his blades and even celestial warriors fear to attack him. Priests have been found flayed and crucified upon their altars. The merest rumor of a white-haired, black-cloaked swordsman approaching is enough to send the inhabitants of any settlement into a wild frenzy of fear for he is a walking whirlwind of death and destruction, leaving a trail of corpses behind him wherever he treads. His name has been classified as that of a demon in the lore books of scholars everywhere.

Celestials and their goodly allies are not his only enemies as well. He has slain countless evil men and demons. Tyrants are found by their servants in the morning with their throats cut from ear to ear and no evil wizard has escaped his fell blades before.

Perhaps he is merely a madman, seeking to slake his bloodlust on indiscriminate victims.

I suppose it couldn't hurt to post the stats of H'tleth here. He is a Slaad in the Wanderer Forum adventure, a strange Being whose involvement with the plot is largely unknown. Of course, this information should in no way affect the Forum Adventure. ;)

    ---

    H'tleth: Unique Slaad; CR ?; Large outsider; HD 16d8+48; hp 120; Init +7; Spd 50 ft.; AC 24 (touch 12, flat-footed 21); Atk +23 melee (2d6+7, 2 claws; SA spell-like abilities, ?, ?; SQ Fast healing 8, Damage reduction 25/+1, SR 27, resistances, ?, ?; AL ?; SV Fort +13, Ref +13, Will +15; Str 24, Dex 17, Con 17, Int 18, Wis 21, Cha 18.

Skills and Feats: Bluff +19, Climb +15, Diplomacy +19, Escape Artist +20, Hide +15, Intuit Direction +15, Jump +20, Knowledge (arcana) +22, Knowledge (religion) +22, Knowledge (the planes) +22, Listen +20, Move Silently +15, Search +19, Spot +20; Improved Initiative, Power Attack, Cleave, Sunder

    Possessions: None

Resistances (Ex): Acid, cold, electricity, fire, and sonic resistance 5.

Spell-Like Abilities: At will: alter self, animate objects, blur, change self, chaos hammer, deeper darkness, detect magic, dispel law, invisibility, lightning, polymorph self, shatter, power word blind, and teleport without error. These abilities are as the spells cast by a 15th-level sorcerer (save DC 14 + spell level).

Outsider Traits: Darkvision 60 ft.; cannot be raised or resurrected (though a wish or miracle spell can restore life).

    ---

H'tleth appears like a Blue Slaad, except that he has jet-black skin (instead of the normal blue). Being a Slaad, he is apparently unpredictable and even homicidal. Then again, his very nature is quite mysterious, and the reason why he contacts Sheth is unknown.

    ---

Shura - the character with your namesake is a mass murderer, and has Demon Blood running in him, but is neutral? :p :D

He seems more like neutral evil...but I still feel that he's more neutral than evil.

    Ah well...
    Sounds funny, I know.

In The Legend of Shura he was probably neutral or LN, in From Darkness to Light and Back Again he was probably N or LN (except for in the flash forwards where he is CE) and in Forged in Hell, Tempered in Blood he is slipping into evil, but still has loyalties to people that generaly don't like him. The alignment of Shura is very, very strange
