Hey, I just bought this game, and I was instantly hooked! Gorgeous graphics, fantastic gameplay, and enormous longetivety. Is there anyone else here that has got this game? I'd like to discuss some things.

[IMG] Yep loved it and it was my favourite game of the year when it came out (2001?). I also enjoyed all of the expansion packs not to mention some of the great mods made by fans. If you haven't tried any of these yet I recommend you track down the Op Flash editing centre (I'm at work and haven't got the URL here). They have all sorts of extra stuff you can download and most of it has been reviewed and rated. There are also some major conversions being developed (but I haven't checked them for a while). The one based on WWII looks very promising.

Just to blow my own trumpet, I also enjoyed mucking around with the editor and you can find some of my levels either at the editing centre or here:

I've stopped being lazy, here's the editing centre link:

[IMG] I'm pretty sure you can play by direct connection over the internet (but I've never tried it). There is a button on the bottom right called 'Remote'. If you click on this you can enter an IP address. Of course to be able to play you'll need to know the IP of the person whose game you want to connect to. Or you can host and they will need to know your address.

I knocked up some stuff about finding IP addresses that might help if you don't know how to do this (though its a bit old now). It also doesn't cover Win XP that allows you to find an IP adress just by look at the properties of an internet connection. Anyway, the stuff is here:

You might be able to find people playing on their own servers (so avoiding Gamespy) if you hunt around on some of the Op Flash forums. Here are some links to get you started.

PS here's the development page for the WWII mod I mentioned:

OFP editing centre closed a couple months back (last year sometime). However i did find another site with all the downloads and more on it (will find the link when i return home sunday/monday). It's a great game but for some reason resistance's "graphical advances" really pissed me off because it doesn't run as smoothly. But i love the bikes. Has anyone done the bike of a cliff/mountain combined with a slowdown and a side fixed camera. It loooks great! Also done it with a skidoo and a ramp.

[IMG] I haven't been following the Op Flash community lately but the Editing Centre is definately up and running at the moment. Maybe it just shut for a while (and I think it has changed URL). Anyway, there is news on the site today and missions have been added recently and can be downloaded so...

    The link is: http://www.ofpec.com/

Hmmm I think I'll have to get my cd out and have another bash.
