    I cry.
    I cry not for defeat.
    I cry not for victory.
I cry not for the drowning of hope, the death of our people, and the triumph of Enemy.
I cry not for these things.

    I cry.
I cry for the loss of order.
I cry for the persistence of chaos.
I cry for the breaking of civilization.
    I cry for these things.

And as I cry, we cry.

Hmm ... is this topic about repeating? i'll give it a go.

    I try
    I try to live
    I try to fight
    I try to hope
    That life will go on

    I try
    I try to think
    I try to imagine
    I try to fuel
The future of the generations to come

TheBlackRose, I know that you wrote that. I'm implying that the narrator of the poem is Machiavellian or Hobbesian. A person who sees the superiority of order and state above the people's rights. I wasn't being serious or literal when I said Machiavelli or Hobbes must have written that.
