[IMG] Just saw episode 2 and it looks damn good so far but does it live up to the potential shown by the stars and guest stars? I mean, you can't really go wrong with guys like Harold Perrineau, Ernie Hudson, and J K Simmons as (seeimng) regulars. Not to mention guest appearances by Skipp Sudduth, B.D. Wong and (apparently) Christopher Meloni among others.

So, does it live up to the potential?

It is an awesome series. One of the best series I have ever seen. It has some downs in the fourth season I think where it gets an itty bit soapish. Me and a friend followed the last episodes this spring and it cemented OZ's place as a super TV series. There are so many great characters and it is so rough and dirty that you cant help but love it. My only regret was that it wasnt from a womans prisons as there are a great amount of naked inmates shown. ;)

Ryan O'Reily is probably the coolest TV character ever, even if he turns a bit soft at times.

I concur. Oz was a truly spectacular series (and hopefully unrealistic). The characters were so well done that you couldn't help but respect even the most evil of them.

I have loved this series from the get go. It rocks. Season three just came out on DVD -- it's on my "must buy" list. Sadly, I think it was all too realistic in some ways.

Well, since I've only seen 3 episodes (maybe 4) so far, I'm definitely staying for the ride, as long as the channel keeps it.

Anyone want to let me know some of the other guest stars I can look forward to?
