Paint Shop Pro Brushes

    [​IMG] Okay, I need a little info from someone who knows a thing or two about PSP. Okay, as you know (or I want you to know) there are certain brushes you can use when you are using the Paint Brush tool. You go to the Brush Types icon, then go to custom, and there you have some different brush tips for your paint brush. Ex. A star, spade, heart, ring, etc.

    Now, off of a site, I downloaded some custom brushes. They came in zip files. There was no indication as to where I would extract them to, except the fact that they were indeed brushes. So, I extracted them to the brushes folder in the PSP directory.

    But, when I open up PSP, and go to use them, they are not there. And I noticed something; while the ones that came with PSP are marked *.jbr, the newer ones I downloaded are marked *.abr. Any ideas, people? I'm hoping for someone to tell me that they're is a totally different place for these. :D Or maybe, my version is too behind? I use PSP7.

    It's probably a version issue, but it's odd that there would be no indication what version they were made for.

    Incidentally, are you sure it's Paint Shop Pro brushes you've downloaded and not Photoshop brushes?

    The up-to-date PSP is version 10; v7 was published some four years ago, IIRC. Consider updating, since the new one has some pretty good improvements. ;)

    I'm not sure if it's PSP or PS. :p ..

    Does anyone know if there's a download of Photo Shop somewhere?.. Maybe a trial version.

    I think .abr-brushes are used in Photoshop. Not sure though...
