I am doing my first run through of BG2. I read in the other BG2 forum that a patch was needed to make the Paladin Stronghold work correctly. Something about not being able to rest. Is this true? I didn't post there since the rules say if you have ToB installed you must post here.

Do I need the patch as well? I got the game last week so it's an up-to-date version and I have ToB installed.

My main character is a Paladin so it matters much.

    Speaking of Strongholds...

Can I do quests and get the items from the other Strongholds as well, or only one Stronghold is allowed?
    How does that work?
I know you can only "take control" of the one place corresponding to your main character.

~BG1 pro, but new to BG2 :book:

I don't know about the Paladin Stronghold bug, but you should only be able to get one Stronghold. There was (is?) a bug where multiclass characters could get the Fighter Stronghold as well as another, but that wasn't supposed to happen.

That's right, the Paladin stronghold is the only one in which you can't rest, and I believe it's fixed in the patch. Personally I don't think it's that much of an issue - it just takes a little time and a few gold pieces to find an inn anyway.

The patch located here does not work with ToB. Is only for SoA. Actually - it is really not so important to rest in the Order of the Radiant Heart Chapterhouse. It was my question from yesterday - I was just curious if I am doing something wrong or it is a bug.
Anyway - except for this little problem the strongold works, you can store the items there (well, you can store them in any container in the game), and you get the stronghold quests.

    Thanks.

Hey! My pic doesn't show...

    I have the URL correct.
Do I need code as well?
    Makes a test:
