    When you install the new mod to BG1 you get the choice to set kits on the NPCs. What do people think about this. What kind of kits do you set on the different NPC?

    No as they weren't intended to have kits in the begening. And it feel more like the original Baldur's Gate

    I do, but not on everyone.
    Just the ones I think fit.
    Khalid for example stays a pure fighter, but Minsc becomes a wicked Berserker :D

    Well, I suppose it's really only a few. Multi-classes don't have kits, and most of the mages you find already have a selected school, so I'd say a relatively large number of the NPC's are eliminated from consideration.

    Imoen - Swashbuckler - why not - I'm going to dual her to mage anyway, so I may as well get a second proficiency point in short swords.

    Minsc - no - because he is still a vanilla ranger in BG2.

    Khalid - no - maybe you can make an arguement for Kensai, but really, none of the kits seem to fit him well - certainly not beserker.

    Kivan - archer - seems pretty obvious there.

    Ajantis - Cavalier - it justs feels right

    Garrick - jester

    Eldoth - blade

    Kaigan - beserker (probably influenced by Korgan in BG2)

    Viconia - none - she worships Shar, so making her a cleric of Talos doesn't make sense.

    Faldorn - avenger

    Shar-Teel - for some reason, I like Kensai for her.

    Branwen - I forget what deity she worships - the god of battles, but I forget the name, but it certainly isn't Helm, so making her a cleric of Helm doesn't make sense.

    I think that's it. I think everyone else is either a multi-class or a mage who already has a school.

    EDIT: Ooops - missed all the thieves.

    Alora - none - I'm sorry she doesn't fit my vision of a swashbuckler, bounty hunter or assassin.

    Skie - none - she Alora

    Oh hell - what's her name - the one that Coran tries to put the moves on - Can't... think... of... her... name - Well whatever her name is, I'd make her an assassin - her portait just seals it.
