[IMG] Of the dice you use in D&D games, what's your favorite? I like the new d4 with the numbers in the corners. They're a bugger to pick up, but that's what bare feet are for. :D

The d30 is awesome! I'm surprised that anyone was even aware of it. Does anyone except me know what it's for?

P.S. There's also a d34. It looks so stupid.

    d6 for practical value. :)

But ... my vote is going to go to d10 anyway - it has a funky shape :D

If it's a real d100 then that for sure. But if it's just two d10s, forget about it.

The d100 is worse than the d12. It won't stop moving, even with all the crap they put inside the hollow shell to slow it down. And that stuff makes the most annoying noise, too.

d12 - what can I say; I just love those dodecahedrons!

As a side note, this is by far the geekiest thread I've seen here so far.

Keep up the good work guys! :D

    So far, there's a tie between the d4 and d20 with 19% (3 votes), followed by a three-way with d12, d10, d8 at 12% (2 votes) and the cabooses are d2, d6, d30, d100 at 6% (1 vote).

Okay, since nobody's asked yet, I'm just going to tell you. :p

The d30 is used for determining which body part is hit. I saw this old-style character sheet once with a picture of a person divided up like paint-by-numbers with exactly 30 sections and when I asked the owner of the sheet about it, he mentioned a die that could be rolled to determine where you would be hit. I copied down the sections and later memorized them. Unless anyone asks for a full list, suffice it to say that you wouldn't want to get hit in the 12. :xx:

d12. The word for it just rolls off the tongue, well, like a d12.

Come on, say it with me:

    ...Do-De-Ca-He-Dron...

    Now wasn't that fun?

d20. Never played DnD, but as a magic the gathering player though, it fits just perfectly for a lifecounter for my 20 precious "hitpoints" :D

Ah, but who is geekier? The geek who asks, "What's your favorite die?" Or the geek who answers?
