(actually, I was expecting this thread to be about Britney, Christina, and their ilk ;) )

You missed an option, kuemp - BOTH WAYS!

When I have access to a toaster, I prefer 'em warm. However, when I need a quick munchie in the car or on the train, lack of warmth will not prevent me from eating a pop tart or two.

@Bahir: Pop Tarts are "toaster pastries" - some sort of sweet filing between two layers of crust. They can be eaten right out of the box but a trip through the toaster makes 'em warm and golden. They're marketed as a quick breakfast food for kids, but they also make a nice snack for grownups.

Kuemp, we're going to be trying to make pop-tarts from scratch once the weather cools enough that I'm willing to think about turning the oven on.

I was in the US a year ago, and one thing on my to do list was to eat a pop tart... I kinda forgot, so I never actually ate a pop tart (I don't think they make 'em in Europe).

Oh well, at least now I have a reason to go back to the US in the future (site seeing is sooo overrated).

I eat them both ways, depending on if I have time to toast them. Cold makes the icing crunchier though.

I haven't eaten those in over 5 years....

This from people who live in the land of Bad Cuisine.

Hard to eat something that's hot *and* cold at the same time.

When I hear pop tart, I think of Mechwarrior multiplayer games or Caeserean babies.

An American talking about bad cuisine?

    Pot. Kettle. Black.

Pop Tarts are vile. I know someone who has a couple for breakfast every morning. How anyone can eat crap early in the morning is beyond me. Urgh.

To all who hate pop tarts: I'll be contacting the authorities immediately to turn you in for murder of your inner child.

    Pop tarts kick ass.

By the way - toasted at home, cold on the go...or as I like to say, "raw."

    Both ways :)
I think they were actually banned here years ago, because they were hot after being in a toaster (Duh! :p ) and kids got burnt but then they reappeared. Odd.
