Rate the Single Player campaign that comes with NWN.

Here is a releveant post by "Norfleet" (my favourite poster on the official boards):

The fact of the matter is, the reason SP is too easy has nothing to do with your character. The reason SP is easy is because of a major flaw in the design: It is made to be beaten. It is basically impossible to FAIL at it, because, like a road is meant to be crossed, the SP campaign is meant to be beaten. You can't, no matter how hard you intentionally try to, actually botch the campaign. All of your objectives are etched out for you like glowing neon beacons. There's nothing to solve, no mystery. The monsters aren't challenging because the encounter system is designed to make them unchallenging. Rather than spawning the hardest possible grouping, it instead spits out an easy one, time and time again. Monster lairs have no strategic monster positioning. Monsters simply spawn at you in clumps, charge at you, and fight until they are killed. Sometimes, they even fail at that, managing to get hung up on some protruding terrain obstacle. Seems like every year now, I think, "This is the WORST pathfinding I have ever seen in a game", and then an otherwise great game goes and sets a whole new low in pathfinding. It rather cripples the monsters, for sure. Given this limitation, any monster grouping relying on the ability of monsters to move and engage the players will fail. Since SP relies extensively on this formula, every monster grouping can be overcome in the most trivial ways.

If you can't lose, it's hard not to win.

The SP campaign is designed to be beaten by any possible character you can generate short of using the cheats to cripple yourself. It is only possible to lose by imposing completely artificial restrictions on yourself: This tends to get old really fast. The fact of the matter is, we need maps designed not to be beaten, but to chew up hapless adventurers and spit them out as finely ground gristle and mangled meat, and do so in style.
